Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5–2 pounds fresh shrimp, unpeeled
  • 3 stalks celery w/leaves, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 2 lemons, cut in half
  • 1/2 cup butter, cut into cubes
  • 2 Tablespoons coarsely cracked black pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Worchestershire sauce
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Wash shrimp thoroughly and place in a large, shallow pan
  2. Add celery and garlic
  3. Squeeze juice from 2 lemons over top
  4. Dot shrimp with butter and sprinkle with remaining ingredients
  5. Place shrimp under broiler until butter melts and shrimp starts to turn pink (about 5 minutes), stirring several times.
  6. When all shrimp are slightly pink, reduce temperature to 350 degrees and bake 15-20 minutes or until done, stirring often.
  7. Do not overcook or shrimp will become mushy. Taste for doneness

Notes

This is great with a baked potato. Use the buttery juice from the cooked shrimp to season your potato. Also great with french bread to dip in the juices.
